Cristiano Ronaldo put Juve in front but Antonin Barak's leveller earned Verona a share of the spoils as it finished 1-1 at the Stadio Bentegodi.

Read what Andrea Pirlo and Federico Chiesa had to say after the final whistle.

ANDREA PIRLO

“It's a shame because we knew it was going to be a tough, scrappy game but we played well and managed to take the lead. We weren't aggressive enough when they equalised. We should have closed them down and details like that can make the difference. “In the second half we dropped off a bit when the tempo died down and they managed to carve out openings in the wide areas. I didn't have the players to play four at the back and once we lost a bit of aggression on [Federico] Chiesa and [Merih] Demiral's side they managed to get a few crosses in. “We were missing lots of players and I asked the more experienced guys like [Cristiano] Ronaldo and Alex Sandro to make themselves heard. It's not easy playing against Verona with they way they press you. You have to know what to do with the ball before it arrives. The pitch wasn't great either and that made it even more difficult.”

FEDERICO CHIESA

“We obviously have some key players out who need to recover but we're Juve and we mustn't use that as an excuse. We have to focus on the next match and on winning the league because we still believe we can do it and we'll keep fighting in every game. “It was tough today because Verona gave it everything they had right till the end and got themselves a draw. We should be angry about it because we can't afford to drop points. We're Juventus and we should have won this game but we must learn from it. It's the small details that make the difference. We should have done better after taking the lead but it's not about inexperience: those who played have everything they need to play for Juventus.

“I'm happy to play wherever the boss wants me: I'm here to help the team and if I do that then the good things come naturally. I'm grateful to Juventus for the opportunity they've given me.”
