Mattina Rosucci, speaking to Sky Sport, previews the game against Empoli scheduled for Saturday August 29 at 20:45 and valid for the second game of the Serie A season. The Bianconeri number 8 has clear ideas: “Empoli comes from a 10-0 win against San Marino and winning with such a large margin cannot be taken for granted. It means that they’re a team with great enthusiasm, decent young players and a good project. We come from a 2-0 win against Verona, but we have the desire to bounce back from a performance that in my opinion wasn’t up to our standards, and therefore it will be a good match.”

Against Verona, Martina reached 50 appearances with the Juve shirt. Her relationship with the black and white colors goes hand-in-hand with the history of Juventus Women: “the club’s decision to change the least possible undoubtedly makes me very proud as I am a part of that historic group that started from day one, so they assessed that our work was good. Without a doubt you lose less time in amalgamating and in finding the fundamental balances, and this allows us to focus on different aspects and details that lead to perfecting a team that already has its balance, but needs to always grow”.

Always improving, chasing new goals: “Juventus’ objectives? To win. In Italy it is important to win in all three competitions and allow me to say that winning should never be taken for granted. The past is immediately forgotten by everyone as soon as the game ends, while the future is all to write for. Obviously we’d like to win in a precise way this year. Regarding the European context, we’d like to go far there as well. We’ve managed to get international experience which gave us consciousness and we cannot wait to put into practice what we’ve learned”.

The match against Empoli will put before us various familiar faces: “Since the beginning Juve have always believed in their youth system and developed young talents. The young girls who have passed by the First Team squad have grown a lot and without a doubt they’re an extra asset for the other teams. We know them and they know us; furthermore Spugna plays for Empoli and she knows us inside out. They will have definitely studied us, but we know them very well”.
