Soule set for U20 World Cup bow

Matias Soule and Argentina will be hoping to emulate Lionel Messi's senior side when they launch their U20 World Cup campaign against Uzbekistan on Saturday evening. The hosts' opening match of the tournament kicks off at 18:00 local time (23:00 CEST) in Santiago Del Estero.

Mati, who will be wearing the No.11 jersey, was on target for Argentina in a 2-1 win over Japan in a warm-up match a few days ago. Now he's ready to show what he's got on the World Cup stage!

GROUP STAGE

Argentina are in Group A with Uzbekistan, Guatemala and New Zealand and have the following fixtures to look forward to:

• New Zealand v Argentina, 26 May 2023

The final will be held in La Plata on 11 June 2023.
