The Juventus Men’s First Team are back on the road for Serie A Matchday 21, heading to Sardinia to take on Cagliari on Saturday at 20:45 CET.
Ahead of the game, coach Luciano Spalletti gave his usual pre-match press conference at the Allianz Stadium.
A PACKED SCHEDULE
“We’re focusing on one game at a time, studying each one with depth but without overfilling the players’ heads.
"For us right now, the only game we’re thinking about is the one away to Cagliari. Of course, there are plans beyond this weekend’s game, but we’re only thinking about what’s next.”
THE INDIVIDUALS
“I’m very happy with how [Gleison] Bremer has returned, and with how he’s looking better with each game. You already know that he’s strong in all areas.
“[Vasilije] Adzic has extraordinary abilities and I’d like to see him get that extra bit of knowlegde, to understand what he has to leave behind him and what he needs to push on with, making the most of his quality. He has a good shot from range and incredible stamina. For me, he’s untouchable, I expect big things from him, and he could be a real gem.
“[Manuel] Locatelli’s numbers speak for themselves. Only Luka Modric has provided more key passes than him this season. Stats are useful up to a point, but they provide insight. He’s a perfect player for providing balance.
“[Jonathan] David has developed along with the rest of the team. A centre-forward has to help you get on top, and he has that ability. He needs the team right now, and the team need him.
“[Filip] Kostic is very motivated at the moment, and [Juan] Cabal is back to his best, he’s already shown his physicality and ability to run. He’s more attentive now too.”
