THIRD MEETING Malmö and Juventus will meet for the third time in a European competition, this being the second time that both have participated in the same Champions League group. Juventus won both home and away victories against the Swedish team in the 2014-15 season.

AGAINST SWEDISH OPPOSITION Juventus have never lost to a Swedish side in a European competition, winning three times and drawing one of their previous four games, including three wins in their last three.

ALLEGRI + JUVE IN UCL Massimiliano Allegri will direct his first Champions League match since April 2019, when his Juventus were eliminated by Ajax in the quarter-finals. Allegri has won 54% of his games at Juventus in the competition: only Fabio Capello (60%) has a higher win rate among managers with more than 10 games whilst managing the Old Lady in the competition. 

PANIT-ASSIST Juan Cuadrado recorded more assists than any other player in the Champions League last season, with all six arriving from open play. Since 2003-04, only James Milner (7 in 2017-18) has made provided assists in a single edition of the competition.

MORATA SPANISH INFLUENCE Álvaro Morata is one of only three Spaniards to have scored more than 20 Champions League goals (21 in 60 games), alongside Raúl (71) and Fernando Morientes (33). He scored six goals in eight appearances for the Old Lady last season, the most by a Spaniard in a single season since Diego Costa’s eight goals with Atlético Madrid in 2013-14.
