Twelve shots but only three on target and one goal was the story in the final third for the Bianconeri during Saturday evening's 2-1 reverse at the San Paolo.

Napoli, on the other hand, brought Gigi Buffon into action on five occasions, netting two of them, as Gonzalo Higuain scored his fifth of the campaign.

Once again Juventus produced more crosses than their opponents (11 to 9), while also completing a higher proportion of passes: 85.4 per cent to Napoli’s 82.2.

However, Massimiliano Allegri’s men lost out in 53.6 per cent of challenges for the ball, while for only the second time this season they had less of the possession: 46 per cent.

On an individual level, the night produced Mario Lemina’s maiden goal in the black and white. The midfielder also completed the most tackles for his side (four), while Patrice Evra performed more blocks than anyone else on the pitch with nine.

Going forward, Giorgio Chiellini made the highest number of passes in the opposition half with 24 – less than half of Napoli’s Jorginho. Paulo Dybala, meanwhile, whipped in the most crosses with four.
