16 May 2025
At 20:45 (CEST) on Sunday 18 May 2025, Juventus will face Udinese at the Allianz Stadium in their last home match of the season on Matchday 37 of the Serie A campaign.
Coach Igor Tudor previewed the challenge against the Friulian side in today’s press conference.
THE WEEK OF WORK
“The team is well, we worked well this week. I saw the lads in good shape this morning, tomorrow we'll add the finishing touches and then we'll be ready. [Lloyd] Kelly trained with us, [Federico] Gatti on the other hand will only be able to play as much as he did in the last game. The absences we've had are not trivial, after all the matches we've played I've always had a good feeling: the team has always done its best and given everything they could considering the circumstances. Now we are more aware of what we need to do, and our game has improved. It is important to understand the moment you are going through, to know what the team can do in each situation. I would like to congratulate the guys who have always given everything they could give.
SUNDAY'S CHALLENGE
“There are no easy matches on paper. The coach must have different approaches both with the players and in every match. Udinese are a physical team that run a lot and have had some great performances, that's why I say there are no easy matches. On Sunday everyone has to give their all, those who start and those who take over. I always tell the lads to go out and play without thinking, to enjoy what they do on the pitch. Tomorrow we will assess whether any players from the next gen will join up with the squad.
INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS
“[Kenan] Yildiz suffered a lot, he was very sorry during the matches when he was suspended. He is a key player, now I told him not to feel the responsibility to make up for it and therefore be overeager to go in search of that extra something. He has to do what he can do and what he is good at. [Dusan] Vlahovic is an important player who also had some physical problems, he will help us until the end.”
