On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 21:00 CET, Juventus will host Pafos at the Allianz Stadium for Matchday 6 of the UEFA Champions League League Phase.

Coach Luciano Spalletti and Pierre Kalulu spoke on the match against the Cypriots at a press conference.

PIERRE KALULU

"We want to do well, to show our level. It will be a very important match for us, and we're ready. Every match teaches us lessons, whether positive or negative. After Sunday's match, we talked among ourselves, taking with us the positives we learned from the match against Napoli, even though it didn't go the way we wanted. I've been fortunate to play for great teams, with great history. A season can have ups and downs, we have to do everything we can to ensure that there are better moments. We're at a level where the details make the difference. I always try to lead by example, to do my best. I feel like a leader. How close are we to our best? It's hard to say. We need to have more consistency, be more united. Every week we work to reach that level."

LUCIANO SPALLETTI

"Pafos is a tough team, with a lot of Brazilian and Portuguese players who know how to play football. They've only lost by a small margin against Bayern Munich so far, and have consistently given their opponents a hard time. They're a very tough team physically. Every tackle will be a story. Furthermore, the Cypriots are very good at set pieces, with three of their four goals scored in this competition using this technique, and more generally, they're very dangerous from the attacking midfield onwards. We'll have to be good at avoiding their counterattacks.

"Now I know more about the players I have at my disposal, and that's crucial for me. Some aspects have improved, but we still can't consistently replicate them during matches.

"Thuram? He's a strong player, with great physicality, and he demonstrated it well against Napoli on Sunday. He's got great ball control, he's a top professional, and I really like him. It's clear that during matches there are moments when he could reach a higher level.

"Bremer and Rugani will be called up for tomorrow's match, but I don't know if we'll see them on the pitch. Day after day, however, they'll get more minutes in training to be ready as soon as possible.

"I'm convinced that Yildiz still has a lot to prove because his potential is enormous, and he has incredible room for improvement. He can become a top-level player. He's already making a lot of good plays, but I can assure you that we see a lot more in training.

"A change of formation? I know the team better, that's true, but playing so many games in quick succession and seeing them off to the national team makes it difficult to work with a full squad. That said, I have to thank Next Gen and the Youth Sector for always making players available, allowing us to work at our best.

"Football is increasingly less about numbers and playing systems. Only occasionally, and fleetingly, do we find ourselves within these numbers; there's now a constant rotation and distortion of playing systems.

"I've already warned the players that I'll have to push things a little harder somewhere. Every player needs to play matches, but you have to give your all in training to earn your spot on the pitch."
