Three years later Juventus have found themselves once again paired up against Porto in the Champions League Round of 16. In 2017, the Bianconeri won 2-0 in Portugal and 1-0 at Allianz. Even then the Lusitanians had proved to be a complicated opponent and Pavel Nedved, after the draw in Nyon, reiterated the need to face the double-header in top form: "It's nice to reach the second round, but it's also a very difficult phase to face, because everyone can put you in difficulty - underlines the Vice President - In this phase of the Champions League there is a lot of equilibrium, all the opponents are strong and we saw it last year, when we went out against Lyon."
"I know their coach Sergio Conceicao well- continues Nedved - he was a teammate of mine and plays with a very well organised 3-5-2. They will be two very difficult matches. We may be the favourites, but the point is to get to those games in great shape. We will have to face Porto as we did against Barcelona at the Camp Nou: with our convictions and the will to play our football."
