19 September 2025
The draw for the League Phase of the 2025/26 Women's Champions League was made on Friday, 19 September, meaning our Juventus Women's First Team now know who they will come up against in the first edition of the new-look competition.
The Bianconere will face Lyon, Benfica, and Manchester United at home, and will be on the road against Bayern Munich, St. Polten, and Atletico Madrid.
HOW THE NEW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FORMAT WORKS
Having stuck with the traditional Champions League format last season, the Women’s Champions League follows the men’s game this year in moving to the new-look tournament by replacing the Group Stage with a League Phase as the first round.
The competition now has 18 teams as opposed to 16, and the new system sees each team face six others in the League Phase - three at home and three away. This means each team will play the same number of games as they used to in the Group Stage, but will face six unique opponents instead of three teams twice.
The top four finishers in the League Phase will qualify directly for the quarter-finals, while those who place 5th-12th will go into a playoff round, with the winners joining those sides in the quarter-finals. The teams who finish 13th-18th will be eliminated.
