The Juventus Men’s First Team took maximum points against Cagliari on Serie A Matchday 13, winning 2-1 thanks to a brace from Kenan Yildiz.

The match got off to a slow start at the Allianz Stadium, with both teams giving away very little space as they battled for possession in midfield. The deadlock was broken shortly after the halfway point of the first half when the visitors took the lead through Sebastiano Esposito. However, Juventus' reaction was immediate: just a few seconds later, Yildiz struck first time in the penalty area, slotting the ball into the corner to level the score for Luciano Spalletti's side.

In the 32nd minute, Chico Conceicao came close to scoring with a run into the penalty area and a header which was saved by Elia Caprile; Weston McKennie also tried his luck, but his right-footed shot from distance ended up high above the crossbar. Just when it looked like the score would remain level at half-time, the Bianconeri produced a magnificent team move, with McKennie playing a through ball to Pierre Kalulu, who immediately laid it off to Yildiz, who slotted home from inside the penalty area to complete his brace and make it 2-1.

Teun Koopmeiners was the first to come close to scoring in the second half: Conceicao made his usual run down the right and then, once he reached the byline, pulled the ball back to Koopmeiners, who shot just wide of Caprile's left-hand post.

In the 72nd minute, the Portuguese player had another chance when he found himself in the penalty area after a pass from Andrea Cambiaso, but his left-footed shot went over the bar.

In the final minutes, Cambiaso himself had a chance to score the third goal, but his shot from just outside the penalty area went over.
