Yildiz makes Turkey debut

Thursday, 12 October 2023. A date that will live long in the memory of young Bianconeri forward Kenan Yildiz.

Called up for the Turkish senior national team, the 18-year-old started on the bench as his team took on Croatia in their European Championship qualifier in Osijek. With his side 1-0 up and the game winding down, Turkey coach Vincenzo Montella looked to the bench, calling upon Yildiz to enter the fray. On 86 minutes, the Bianconero talent stepped onto the pitch, realising a childhood dream as he officially made his debut for the senior Turkish team, who held onto their 1-0 win to send them top of EURO 2024 qualifying Group.

It's another milestone achieved for Yildiz, who made his senior debut with Juventus earlier this season, having notched up three appearances so far this campaign.

Congratulations, Kenan!
