Just two days after completing his move to Juventus, Denis Zakaria was presented to the media. He spoke about his emotions upon joining the club and his objectives in the black and white jersey.
“I chose Juventus because they have always made me dream... and being here is just that: a dream,” he declared in his opening address. “The first impressions have been exceptional. Juve has great qualities, for me it's a big step forward. My first meeting with the players and Mister was great, the atmosphere is excellent.”
Zakaria then went on to describe his style of play: “I am an offensive and aggressive player, but I also know how to defend and help recover the ball. One of my goals here is to increase the number of goals I score. My natural position is in midfield, but I'm available to play anywhere.”
The Swiss player, who is expected to make his debut against Verona, wrapped up by speaking about his first days at the club: “Physically I'm fine, I've done two training sessions. If the coach asks me, I can play. Allegri has begun to explain to me what he expects of me, and I always want to improve. I'm a fighter, and this is a very important step in my career.”
