Serie A campaign to begin on 25 August

Reigning champions Juventus will launch their defence of the Scudetto on the weekend of 24/25 August, following today’s official confirmation from Lega Serie A.

The final encounters of the season are to be played on Sunday 18 May.

Three international breaks are scheduled ahead of next summer’s World Cup in Brazil: 8 September, 13 October and 17 November.

As far as the winter break is concerned, there will be no championship action on Sunday 29 December.

Three midweek fixtures have also been included in the calendar: Wednesday 25 September, Wednesday 30 October and Wednesday 26 March.
