Federico Peluso rounded off an unforgettable 2012/13 campaign by lifting the Scudetto in front of a capacity crowd at Juventus Stadium.

The 29-year-old, who joined the Bianconeri at the turn of the year, began the season with Atalanta, where his fine displays prompted Cesare Prandelli to hand him his full Azzurri debut against England on 15 August 2012.

Having announced his arrival on the international scene with the final goal in September’s World Cup 2014 qualifier win over Malta, Federico linked up with former boss Antonio Conte in January.

His undisputed commitment and versatility enabled him to win a place in Serie A’s most formidable rearguard, making 12 appearances and featuring for 696 minutes over the course of the championship campaign.

The Rome-born defender, who began his career as a full-back, also demonstrated his qualities going forward, delivering a total of 17 crosses at a success rate of 35%.
