While Juventus’ Champions League rivals await the final European showdown that will determine who progresses from Group B into the knockout stages, this weekend they will in the meantime be out to maintain pressure on their domestic league leaders.
For Real Madrid, today holds what appears to be one of the calendar's less challenging fixtures. Carlo Ancelotti’s men take on Real Valladolid, a side 22 points behind Real in 17th position. What’s more, the clash is at the Bernabeu, where Los Blancos have netted 16 times in their last three games, but they will be without the injured Cristiano Ronaldo.
Bianconeri eyes will this time be trained on the fortunes of Galatasaray, their final Champions League opponents at the Turk Telekom Arena on Tuesday 10 December.
Roberto Mancini’s men are in action tomorrow, and will be out to seize the opportunity to catch up with one of their rivals at the top of the Super Lig table away against Kasimpasa. Galatasaray are just three points behind the hosts, so this is a big chance to draw level.
FC Copenhagen’s fixture tomorrow evening is arguably even more important: the derby away at Brondby. The two competitors in the most famous clash in Denmark are currently level on points, adding extra spice to a much-anticipated match.
