With only four days to go until this weekend’s intriguing Serie A meeting between the Old Lady and Milan in Turin, Massimiliano Allegri put his players firmly through their paces with a mixed workout during this morning’s training session in Vinovo.
Despite their upcoming opponents sitting eighth in the league standings, Juventus will have to be wary of a Rossoneri outfit who have strengthened in the winter transfer market and will be eager to get one over their old rivals after the Bianconeri had triumphed 1-0 at the San Siro back in September.
This morning’s session saw Allegri divide his charges into two groups as they took part in varying fitness drills, with those who yesterday only underwent a warm-down following Sunday’s game against Udinese involved in a more intense workout.
The players then regrouped as they focused on technique and ball possession before bringing today’s sitting to an end with a practice match on a reduced pitch. Patrice Evra was once again absent due to tonsillitis whilst Alessandro Matri, Arturo Vidal and Romulo took part in their own individual regimes.
Tomorrow sees the Bianconeri return to Juventus Center for another workout pencilled in for the morning.
