Massimiliano Allegri expressed his joy after rounding off a phenomenal first season in front of the Juventus Stadium crowd with this evening’s 3-1 win over Napoli.
The boss says the victory was the “right way” to kick off the Scudetto celebrations and praised his players for their professional performance and desire to claim all three points on a special night for all associated with the club.
Speaking to the media at Juventus Stadium, Allegri began: “It was an emotional one for me. I’m really happy because I’ve got a respectful relationship with the fans and that’s how I think it should be. It was a great day of celebration, rounded off with a victory in front of the fans.
“The lads showed that they wanted to keep winning and there’s no better way to sign off from the stadium than with a decent and intense display.
“The players are in good shape and played well and had fun out there. Now we need to recharge our batteries from both a physical and psychological point of view and we’ll have three days off.”
