The Bianconeri have entered the final straight of their Champions League preparations, with Tuesday’s crucial game against Atletico Madrid edging ever closer.

Plenty of excitement surrounds the meeting of the Italian and Spanish reigning champions in Turin but with qualification for the competition’s knockout stages at stake, Massimiliano Allegri is seeking to keep his men’s feet firmly on the ground ahead of the decisive tie.

While a draw would be enough to secure the hosts’ safe passage through to the Champions League’s last 16, they already have their sights set on going one step further, safe in the knowledge that a 2-0 victory would take them above Diego Simeone’s men and into the next round as group winners.

After returning to the training ground yesterday in the wake of Friday’s goalless draw with Fiorentina, Juventus continued their preparations with a morning tactical session designed to fine tune the specific moves to be deployed when they run out in front of a passionate crowd on Tuesday evening.

The tactical battle plan will continue to take shape tomorrow afternoon, when the Bianconeri train at 15.00 CET (with the first 15 minutes open to the media). Beforehand, Allegri and Claudio Marchisio are to discuss the game in a pre-match press conference scheduled for midday.

Atleti boss Diego Simeone and one of his players will follow suit at Juventus Stadium from 18.15 onwards, before sampling the Juventus Stadium playing surface for the very first time at 18.45.
