With the international break edging ever closer to its culmination, today’s workout in Vinovo served as the final day without those involved with their respective countries.
From tomorrow, Massimiliano Allegri will be able to call upon the Azzurri contingent, who are enjoying a day off after returning to Italy early on Tuesday morning, as well as starlets Kingsley Coman and Alvaro Morata.
The rest of those involved in international action are due to join up with the rest of the squad from Thursday, when Allegri will finally be able to assess his full complement ahead of the next run of important fixtures.
After beginning this morning’s session in the gym, the boss then put his players through their paces with various fitness drills including sprinting exercises designed to further prepare the squad for Saturday’s Serie A encounter with Sassuolo.
Those returning from international duty will be raring to go when the players take to the Vinovo pitches once again tomorrow afternoon.
