Determined defending and composed finishing were the main secrets behind last night’s success over Lazio at Juventus Stadium, achieved via first-half goals from Carlos Tevez and Leonardo Bonucci.
While the in-form visitors controlled possession with a figure of 61.7 per cent, it was the Bianconeri who remained the most efficient, converting two of their four shots on target to come away with all three points.
Tevez’s opener, which stemmed from Arturo Vidal’s third Serie A assist of the season, was his 18th in the league this season, leaving him one shy of last year’s tally.
It also continued the Argentine’s good goalscoring run against Lazio, who have now been on the receiving end of his exploits in three of their last four meetings with the Bianconeri.
Bonucci, meanwhile, netted his third of the campaign, with two of these coming from outside the box.
