Juventus and UNESCO’s visit to Africa has officially moved on to Malian soil after the delegation touched down in the country’s capital, Bamako, on Friday evening at 17.30 local time.

Having rounded off a two-day stay in the Central African Republic with a Thursday afternoon press conference in Bangui, the delegation led by Juventus Legends president David Trezeguet and UNESCO’s Assistant Director-General for External Relations and Public Information Eric Falt, spent Friday travelling the 3,000 kilometres that separate Bangui and Bamako.

Today will see Trezeguet and Falt begin their visit of the country with a trip to Bamako’s TEMDET Center, where they will witness the progress and future plans of a project aiming to socially reintegrate Malian children affected by the internal conflicts that first broke out in January 2012.
