Following on from their two day break, the Bianconeri were back at Juventus Center this afternoon as they continued preparations towards next weekend’s Serie A return against Lazio in Rome.

Massimiliano Allegri put his charges through a number of fitness drills designed to get them in peak physical condition ahead of an important run of fixtures before the winter break.

Having returned from the Azzurri training camp in Coverciano due to a muscular problem, Angelo Ogbonna underwent a scan this morning which excluded the possibility of a tear. The 26-year-old then took part in therapy and an individual workout and his fitness will be monitored over the next few days.

Elsewhere, Martin Caceres – who has been sidelined with a thigh injury which he suffered in October’s 3-2 victory with Roma at Juventus Stadium – also underwent tests this morning. The Uruguayan will continue to work away from the main group over the coming days given that he is still not 100 per cent ready to return to full training.

Tomorrow sees Allegri’s troops return to Juventus Center for another afternoon session, boosted by the return of Gigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Claudio Marchisio who were all on international duty over the weekend.
