Fresh from last night’s six-goal Coppa Italia success over Verona, Massimiliano Allegri’s men returned to Vinovo this morning to begin preparations for the second installment – this time in Serie A – on Sunday evening.

Each player interviewed in the mixed zone after last night’s victory expressed the view of this weekend’s encounter representing a different test entirely, meaning there will be no drop in focus during the two remaining sessions before Sunday’s rematch.

Grey skies greeted the Bianconeri on their return to the training ground, although the bad weather was unable to dampen the spirits of a team still on a high after last night’s goal-laden display.

Those who figured in the victory over the Gialloblu underwent a warm-down in the gym, while the remainder of the team were out on the training pitch for a regular workout.

Missing out on the session was Arturo Vidal, still suffering from the effects of tonsillitis and a high temperature. The club’s medical staff has seen it fit for the midfielder to continue his recovery in hospital in order to better monitor his condition and follow the most appropriate regime for a speedy return to competitive action.

The condition of Angelo Ogbonna, who made way for Giorgio Chiellini after sustaining a twisted ankle in last night’s game, will also be kept a close eye on at Juventus Center.

Tomorrow will see Allegri discuss the impending clash with the media at midday CET.
