After two weeks of initial pre-season preparations in Vinovo, Massimiliano Allegri will be able to add the majority of the club’s international contingent to his ranks when the team return to training tomorrow morning.
The 11 players, who have already linked up with their team-mates at their pre-season base this evening, have completed their holidays following the World Cup and will now focus on getting into peak condition for the big Serie A kick-off on Sunday 31 August.
Returning to the hotel tonight are Gigi Buffon, Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli, Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Pirlo, Arturo Vidal, Mauricio Isla, Martin Caceres, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Kwadwo Asamoah.
Meanwhile, French duo Paul Pogba and Patrice Evra, whose nation reached the quarter-final stage of this summer’s tournament, will begin their pre-season preparations on Thursday 31 July.
