No stranger to games against Juventus, Zdenek Zeman says he is looking forward to renewing hostilities when the league leaders venture south to face his Cagliari side tomorrow night.

The 67-year-old, whose Rossoblu outfit are without a home triumph to their name this season, is under no illusions of the task that lies in store for a team on an overall winless run of seven games.

In spite of this, he is challenging his charges to put in a performance befitting of the occasion and pull out all the stops against the reigning champions.

Speaking to the media in Sardinia, Zeman said: “We know it will be very difficult, but we need to stick to our task and have a go regardless. It’s a pleasure to play against Juventus and a game that motivates me, today as it did 20 years ago.

“There’s little for us to be worried about because we’ve got little to lose. Being down in this position is not what any of us expected, neither the team nor the fans. We haven’t managed to win at home, and it’s understandable for a bit of concern to creep in if you give your all and the results don’t follow.

“Our approach to the game is what will count. We need to be alert to every ball and make as few mistakes as possible both when defending and venturing forward on the counter.”
