From his official unveiling back in July to his first Bianconero goal against Bologna earlier in the month to a fine midfield showing at the San Siro last Sunday, Sami Khedira has looked every bit the Juventus player since joining the club last summer.
Addressing to the media ahead of tomorrow night’s Champions League meeting with Borussia Monchengladbach, Juve’s enforcer left the journalists gathered at Juventus Stadium in no doubt of the smoothness of his transition from the white of Real Madrid to the black and white of the Old Lady.
Music to the ears of Bianconeri fans not only for Wednesday’s clash with Gladbach but also for the rest of the season ahead.
Speaking in his native German, he began: “Physically, I feel very good. We have a fantastic backroom team and medical staff and they’ve helped me immensely since I arrived. I think I’ve settled into the squad and my new surroundings and I really feel at home here in Turin.
“As a squad, we’re beginning to gel well after a tough start to the season. We’ve had a few injuries in recent weeks but now we’re all starting to find a bit of form and becoming more flexible tactically at the same time. There are plenty of games ahead and we will only continue to improve.”
