Gianluigi Buffon equalled Dejan Stankovic for the most Italian Super Cup victories (six). Five of those triumphs have been achieved with the Bianconeri.

Massimiliano Allegri has become the third manager to win the Italian Super Cup for two different clubs, after Fabio Capello (Milan and Roma) and Rafa Benitez (Inter and Napoli).

The team who won the double (Scudetto and Coppa Italia) has always won the Super Cup. This is the fifth time that it has happened.

Juventus are unbeaten in their last eight competitive games against Lazio, winning seven of these (five without conceding any goal). In addition, the Biancolesti had no shots in the first half of last night's final - something that never happened to them for the entire 2014-15 season (in all competitions).

Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala scored in their first competitive match for Juventus: the last time that two new players scored for the Bianconeri in the first game of the season came in 2011-12, when Arturo Vidal and Stephan Lichtsteiner opened their accounts against Parma.

Mandzukic has now scored in the Super Cup in three different countries: Germany, Spain and Italy, winning the competition on every occasion in which he found the net.
