When a player wins the league title every year since arriving at a club, it says a lot about his consistency, quality and importance to the team.
When you lose track of the number of times that player has surged to the byline and delivered a telling assist and then sprinted back up the pitch to make a crucial interception at the other end, you begin to realise that you have an exceptional professional on your hands.
Luckily, Juventus have been able to count on such a player for the last four and a half seasons and his name is Stephan Lichtsteiner, who celebrates his 32nd birthday today.
At the end of a year that has seen Stephan add three more honours to his trophy collection and return in his trademark tenacious style from illness, it is with great pleasure that all associated at Juventus Football Club extend the warmest of wishes to the Swiss Express on his special day.
