Approaching full fitness once more and ready to rejoin a squad that sits top of Serie A and within touching distance of the Champions League last 16, there is plenty for defender Giorgio Chiellini to be content with at the moment.
For all of the positive points coming out of the Juventus camp however, there still remains plenty to be done even before the next Serie A pause for Christmas in six weeks' time, let alone the remainder of the campaign as a whole.
Echoing the above and looking ahead to Saturday's visit of Pescara, Chiellini had this to say to Jtv this afternoon after training:
Start to the season
"Top of the league, within touching distance of the Champions League last 16; overall I don't think we could have imagined that we would make a better start than that a few months ago."
Full focus going forward
"We are well aware that there is still plenty of work to be done and we will only achieve our goals for the campaign by running the hard yards every day in training. Our strongest asset in the past few seasons has always been our ability to keep focused and maintain our intensity no matter what."
Back to business on Saturday
"International duty can be draining so often the first league fixture after the break is a difficult one to win. Saturday's match against Pescara will be no different from that point of view. For the guys in Vinovo, like myself, we will take the opportunity to kick on with our respective recoveries. Personally, I'm feeling good and I'll be rejoining the group shortly."
