With Juventus’ next Coppa Italia commitment, their semi-final second leg against Inter, pencilled in for early March and the visit of Bayern in the Champions League still another 26 days away, the Bianconeri will be devoting all of their attentions to their league campaign over the next few weeks.

Chievo, Genoa and Frosinone will all be providing the opposition before Napoli turn up at Juventus Stadium on 13 February, while a trip to Bologna represents a fifth league fixture in a row before Massimiliano Allegri’s men eventually switch their focus to European engagements.

Starting with their preparations for Sunday’s encounter at the Bentegodi Stadium in Verona (kick-off at 12.30 CET), the Bianconeri divided into two groups. Those players heavily involved in last night’s exertions in the cup against Inter underwent a warm-down session, while the other squad members focused on fitness, a series of technical exercises dedicated to ball possession and, finally, some practice matches.

Kwadwo Asamoah and Mario Mandzukic were both absent from this morning’s workout after they reported muscular discomfort during yesterday’s win over the Nerazzurri.

The Ghanaian (right thigh) and Croatian (left calf) will undergo medical checks tomorrow to assess the full extent of their issues.
