If there’s one man who knows about late Juventus Stadium drama, it is Juan Cuadrado.

Speaking in the immediate aftermath of tonight’s spellbinding first-leg encounter, the Colombian believes that if the Bianconeri can reproduce their second-half performance in Munich in three weeks’ time, there will still plenty to play for in this tie.

“We knew that it were up for a very tough game against a very good team,” he began. “We struggled at times tonight but there are plenty of positives for us to draw from this result, particularly the way we played in the second half and fought our way back into the tie.

“We know now that we need to start in Munich the way we finished tonight. If we do that, we have a chance.”

Tuesday night’s unlikely draw in the face of relentless Bayern Munich pressure for Cuadrado was ultimately a testament to the Bianconeri’s fighting spirit and battling qualities.

“They have some exceptional players but we showed that we have great qualities ourselves tonight and that is something we must keep in mind for the second leg. We have to go there believing we can win.”
