Match-winner Juan Cuadrado was keen to deflect the spotlight onto the team performance after Juve beat Lyon 1-0 away in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

“Lyon are a great side and they were very tough to beat,” began the Colombian after the game. “We went down to ten men but then produced a vintage Juve performance. We’re not just a team – we’re a family too.”

It was Cuadrado’s scintillating right-footed effort which sealed the win for Massimiliano Allegri’s side a mere seven minutes after he had come off the bench in the second half.

“I tried to work it onto my right foot,” he recalled. “I got my head up, saw the gap, put my boot through it and the ball went in!”

The Colombian also called for Juve to switch their focus back to Serie A following the win in France.

“We want to finish top of the group, but as of tomorrow we’ll be focusing solely on AC Milan. It’s a head-to-head game so it’s very important for us.”
