Sami Khedira spoke of his delight after helping the Bianconeri preserve their perfect start to this season’s Serie A campaign with the winning goal in tonight’s 1-0 win over Lazio.
The German international has begun the 2016/17 campaign in blistering form and after opening the scoring in last week’s 2-1 victory over Fiorentina at Juventus Stadium, he popped up in the box once more to make it two in two with a decisive strike at the Stadio Olimpico.
Speaking to the media afterwards, Khedira said: “It was a very tough game for us, played in hot conditions on a dry pitch. Lazio were strong opposition and did well tonight. It’s always nice to score and I’m happy with my goal, but what’s most important for me is staying healthy and fit.”
