Alvaro Morata was in philosophical mood after the Bianconeri saw their 15-game Serie A winning streak come to an end with this evening’s 0-0 draw away at in-form Bologna.

While naturally disappointed not to be heading back to Turin with all three points, the Spanish frontman acknowledged that Juventus won’t be the only side to be kept at arm’s length by the Rossoblu this season.

Speaking to the media following the full-time whistle, Morata began: “It was a difficult game and you can’t win every match you play. Some big sides have lost here and it won’t be an easy place for anyone to come. It’s crucial we pick up points, today’s is important and we have plenty of games left to play.”

Attentions now turn from Serie A matters to Europe’s premier club competition, with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich next up for the Old Lady in the Champions League last 16 on Tuesday night.

And while Morata admits the Bianconeri will need to be firing on all cylinders if they are to find a way past Pep Guardiola’s team, he is confident they can rise to the occasion under the Juventus Stadium lights.

He concluded: “Tuesday’s game will be a different encounter entirely. We’ll require a perfect performance against Bayern, we’ll need to be 100 per cent at the races, but we believe we can win.”
