Miralem Pjanic insisted he wants to continue raising his game after his second-half winner handed Juventus all three points at Chievo on Sunday afternoon.

The sumptuous free-kick goal was his third strike for Juve and his 12th free-kick since he moved to Serie A.

“I won the free kick and stuck it away, but we could have scored more today,” admitted Pjanic after the final whistle. “I’m happy with the three points, because it was important to get the win today. We can still improve, but we have a lot of new players – myself included – and we need to gel.”

The Bianconeri midfielder went on to reveal that he wants to contribute more to the Juve cause, despite stepping up when it really mattered against Chievo.

“I want to do more than just score free kicks – I want to give more. I’m adapting to a new style of play and I know that the expectations are high, but I’m calm,” said Pjanic.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side went with a 4-3-3 at Chievo, but the Bosnian was quick play down the significance of the formation.

“The system isn’t important – our mentality is what counts. We know that we can do better and we have plenty of time to do that.”
