Miralem Pjanic insists the manner of Saturday's triumph against Atalanta shows Juve have learnt from their mistakes against Genoa.

The 26-year-old was instrumental to the Bianconeri's 3-1 success at Juventus Stadium, setting up two of the goals while impressing with a highly positive all-round display.

"That was an important signal we sent out tonight," he explained in a post-match interview. "We can do better still but it was important to turn things around after Genoa. We'll remember what happened in Marassi as an example of what we mustn't do again. I'm sure that half hour will serve as a lesson.

“We showed that already today. We performed well and showed good movement. We played attacking football and gave little away so we were able to control the game.”

The Bosnian midfielder went on to explain that he is pleased with his own improvement as he looks increasingly comfortable in his new surroundings.

“I always try to do my best. I'm still settling in and getting there slowly but surely, helped by my fantastic team-mates. I'm adjusting to a new team and a new playing system. I'm just getting on with my job calmly. I'm happy to step up and take responsibility on the pitch. I feel I'm improving.”

Pjanic concluded by looking ahead to a hectic December schedule.

“We have a run of important games now and we want to head into the Christmas break top of the league.”
