Primavera: Coppa Italia final in sight

With one group of Coppa Italia finalists taking a well-earned rest after Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Empoli another was getting their eye in for what promises to be one of the biggest games of the season so far.

The team in question are of course Fabio Grosso’s Primavera who, following last Wednesday’s Viareggio Cup triumph and a continuation of their stellar league form at the weekend, set sights on their second of potentially three pieces of silverware in Vinovo today as preparations began in earnest for their cup final first-leg encounter with Inter at Juventus Stadium on Thursday night.

Discussing Juve’s prospects pitch-side while his team were put through their paces, coach Grosso commented, “We’re in the middle of a very intense run of fixtures. The boys have taken it all in their stride, but now we have to focus on the crucial two months that lie ahead. We are still very much in the hunt for two more trophies.”

With preliminary plans on the playing side now in full swing, those interested in following the fortunes of Grosso’s charges who indeed also find themselves in Turin on Thursday night can do so for free by claiming their tickets from Juventus Stadium’s Gate B from tomorrow morning onwards.

Otherwise, fans will be able to keep track of all the build-up to our young guns’ crucial clash and of course every kick of the action via the club’s official international Twitter feed @juventusfcen.

Let the countdown begin!
