Following last night’s adrenaline-fuelled victory over Olympiacos, Massimiliano Allegri handed his men 24 hours off to recharge their batteries ahead of Thursday morning’s return to training.

Back in contention for the Champions League knockout stages and three points clear of Roma at the summit of Serie A, Juventus will be aiming to make it three important wins in eight days when Parma travel to Turin on Sunday afternoon.

Eight defeats from the first ten games of the campaign have left the visitors in the bottom three alongside Chievo and newly-promoted Cesena, but last weekend’s win over Inter, earned courtesy of two Paolo De Ceglie strikes, will have served as a timely confidence boost for Roberto Donadoni’s men.

Allegri will therefore be warning his charges of the dangers of underestimating the opposition as he bids to sign off for the impending international break on a winning note.
