Juventus Legends president David Trezeguet joined club mascot Jay in visiting Melbourne’s Juventus Academy this morning, where they met 150 of the 300 children involved in the Australian soccer school.
Greeting the crowd on behalf of the first team, manager Massimiliano Allegri and president Andrea Agnelli, Trezeguet expressed his delight at the warm welcome received before outlining the importance of the academy structure for Juventus.
After addressing the public, the Juventus Legends president threw himself straight into the thick of the action, joining the youngsters for several passing and movement drills, flanked by erstwhile mascot Jay.
Plenty of photos, smiles and gifts were exchanged before Trezeguet bade farewell to the academy organisers, safe in the knowledge that the strong values of fun and friendship through sport continue to shine through Down Under.
