Friday marked a successful day of international action for Bianconeri with both Sami Khedira and Patrice Evra contributing to World Cup qualifying wins for Germany and France respectively.

Khedira it was who set Die Mannschaft on their way to an 8-0 romp in San Marino by scoring the game’s opening goal after seven minutes before a Serge Gnabry hat-trick, Jonas Hector brace, Kevin Volland strike and Mattia Stefanelli own-goal stacked up a hugely convincing scoreline for the World champions, who sit five points clear at the top of Group C.

Evra, meanwhile, would be involved in a far tighter contest in Paris, where Les Bleus were made to come from behind to beat Sweden 2-1. Second-half goals by Paul Pogba and Dimitri Payet handed the hosts a dramatic win following Emil Forsberg’s opener that keeps France in full control of their qualifying group, three points above second-placed Sweden.

Today is a particularly busy one for Bianconeri abroad with Mario Mandzukic playing for Croatia against Iceland, Mario Lemina in Gabon vs. Mali, Medhi Benatia in Morocco vs. Ivory Coast, while Juve trio Gianluigi Buffon, Leonardo Bonucci and Daniele Rugani all make the Italy squad facing Liechtenstein this evening.
