Hard graft from every member of the team was the key to success against AC Milan, insisted Gonzalo Higuain after his double helped Juve claim three points at San Siro on Saturday night.
The Argentine capped off a superb all-round display with a pair of sumptuous strikes, taking his personal Serie A tally to 101.
“I'm delighted with the win because we all worked our socks off for it,” El Pipita began after the final whistle.
“That was how we needed to win this game. We're a great team and when we play like that it's hard for us to lose.”
Having come in for some flak in recent weeks for not finding the net quite so regularly, the striker wished to make a special dedication.
“These goals are for the people who have always backed me, not only when everything is rosy: my team-mates, the fans and my family. I never reply to criticism. All I'm interested in is doing my bit to help the team.”
The 2-0 victory sees Juventus edge closer to the top of the table and Higuain has the target very clear in his mind.
“There's obviously still a long way to go this season, but we're looking to be in the Scudetto race till the end. Hopefully we can go all the way and win it again.”
