After two days of rest, Massimiliano Allegri summoned his charges back to Vinovo this afternoon for a first workout since Saturday’s goalless draw against Inter.
Next in line to face the Bianconeri are Bologna and the players began preparations for Sunday’s match (15.00 CET kick-off) by working primarily on fitness, conditioning and ball possession before a brief warm-up game got underway.
The majority of the squad took part in today’s session. Miralem Pjanic trained for a part of the workout after reporting a muscle strain in his left thigh during the Inter match. Stephan Lichtsteiner and Gianluigi Buffon underwent personalised training regimes, while Giorgio Chiellini trained separately after picking up an injury to his right thigh, which nevertheless did not prevent the defender from completing Saturday’s match.
Allegri and company will be back in Vinovo tomorrow morning.
