5. PINSOGLIO SAVES THE DAY

Perhaps one of the lesser known names coming into the tour, goalkeeper Carlo Pinsoglio certainly made a name for himself in the USA.

Making his Juventus debut as a 65th minute replacement for Gianluigi Buffon in La Vecchia Signora’s 3-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain, Pinsoglio was soon called into action denying PSG’s Jesé with a stunning save from six yards, and was then at hand to foil an effort from Giovani Lo Celso, also from close range.

Things got even better for the Moncalieri-born stopper, as he played a key part in the win against Roma, saving the first penalty of the shootout from Roma’s Marco Tumminello, which ultimately ensured Juve’s victory in their final match on tour.

4. BEATING OLD RIVALS ROMA

Despite it being a pre-season friendly match, the Bianconeri will take great heart from the win against the Giallorossi in Boston.

Mario Mandzukic put the Old Lady ahead with a great finish in the 29th minute, before Roma’s Edin Dzeko ended up levelling the scores 16 minutes from time to take the game to a penalty shootout.

After Roma missed their opening spot-kick, Juventus were clinical from 12 yards out, scoring all five of their penalties with summer signing Douglas Costa netting the winner.

3. LEGENDS ON TOUR

It wasn’t just current Bianconeri players to tour the States this pre-season. Juventus Legends, David Trezeguet and Edgar Davids were also out in the USA taking in some famous sites, such as Central Park, the Empire State Building and Times Square.

The duo also stopped by to officially open the new Juventus Academy in Sparta, New Jersey. In addition to this, Trezeguet and Davids also travelled down to Florida to greet the Bianconeri youngsters who were taking on their PSG counterparts, prior to the main event involving the two clubs’ senior teams…

2. TWO CRACKERS FROM CLAUDIO

The only better sight for Juventus fans than watching Bianconeri youth product, Claudio Marchisio score a goal is for him to do it twice!

With the match level at 1-1 in Miami against Paris Saint-Germain, it was Marchisio who fired the Old Lady back into the lead after some sterling work by Moise Kean down the right-hand side.

Then after the Parisians had again equalised to make it 2-2, Claudio turned match-winner after more fine work by Kean earnt his side a penalty, that Il Principino coolly converted.

The trip to the United States could never have been what it was without you, the fans.

Throughout the US, from New York, to Miami, to Boston; Juventus have felt the love and undying support from their American supporters; during the matches, during the open training sessions and during the entire tour.

Although the team is now back in Italy, Juventus also left another part of their legacy behind, with the opening of the new J|Academy in New Jersey, making it their third academy in the United States.

Everyone at Juventus would like to say a big thank you to all American Juventus fans for their superb support.
