Goals from Benedetta Glionna and Barbara Bonansea ensured that Juventus Women came away with all three points, having conceded early into the second half.
After an uneventful first half that ended in stalemate, the game came into life in the second. Cecilla Salvai was shown a yellow card for a foul outside the box, and to add insult to injury, Bari’s Jenny Piro curled the resulting free-kick into the back of the net, past Laura Giuliani to give the hosts a 1-0 lead in the 60th minute.
However, Juventus Women rallied and just six minutes later they were back on level terms, with Benedetta Glionna drawing the Bianconere level.
In the 79th minute Barbara Bonansea struck the ball following a cross into the box that flew past the opposing ‘keeper to put Juventus Women 2-1 up and complete the comeback, with the ladies holding on for the victory.
Up next for the Bianconre is Sassuolo at home next weekend.
