The Bianconeri meet Derby Della Mole rivals Torino with a spot in the TIM Cup semi-finals on the line

The month of December was certainly one to remember for the Bianconeri who finished with six wins and a draw from their seven matches while allowing just one goal.

It started out with an all-important 1-0 win away to Napoli before a decisive 2-0 win away to Olympiacos that confirmed passage to the UCL knock-out round.

A goalless draw with Inter was the only blip on the record before wins against Bologna, Genoa, Roma and Verona ended 2017 with the third four-match winning streak of the season. The Bianconeri have not won five matches in a row this campaign, something they'll be looking to achieve on Wednesday night.

Entering in the round of 16, Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain were on target for the Bianconeri as they dispatched Genoa 2-0 on 20 December.

A goal from La Joya just before half-time eased tensions and Pipita came off the bench to seal the deal for Juventus late on. This is the 11th straight year the Bianconeri have reached the quarterfinals of the cup.

For Torino, Wednesday night will be the first Coppa Italia quarterfinal in nearly ten years having last reached this stage in the 2008/09 season. Torino defeated Trapani 7-1 in the third round of the competition back in early August before defeating Carpi in the fourth round in November.

The Toros pulled off the upset in the round of 16 going to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and defeating Roma 2-1 in a famous win for the other Turin club.

This is the 18th Coppa Italia meeting of the Derby Della Mole, but incredibly just the second in the last 25 years.

Juve and Torino met in the competition two years ago with the Bianconeri coming out on top 4-0 in the round of 16.

Overall, Juve leads the Coppa Italia derby series with an 8-5-4 record against Torino with the last win for the Toros coming in 1988.

      • This is the 18th Derby Della Mole in Coppa Italia. Juventus leads the series 8-5-4.
      • Juventus have scored in their last 15 Coppa Italia home games finding the back of the net 38 times.
      • This is the 11th consecutive season the Bianconeri are in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals.
      • This is the first time Torino have reached the quarterfinals since the 2008/09 season.
      • Torino is the highest-scoring team in this year's competition with 11 goals scored.
      • Juventus conceded just one shot to Genoa in the last round, the fewest of any team in this year's edition.
      • Gonzalo Higuaín has scored seven goals in nine matches against Torino, including two doubles (one with Juventus).
      • Paulo Dybala has scored in all six Coppa Italia matches played at Allianz Stadium since he joined.

NOTE: Lazio and Milan have advanced to the TIM Cup semi-finals with wins last week.
