Douglas Costa was the man of the hour as his 16th-minute strike earned Juve the points against Genoa on Monday night. The 27-year-old admitted it felt good to weigh in with a crucial goal – before adding that he's just doing his job.
“It's always good when you score and do your bit for the team,” he said after the game. “That's what I'm here for and hopefully I'll carry on doing it." The Bianconeri weren't at their best in their first game back after the winter break but ultimately secured the result they needed.
“We dropped off a bit in the second half. We all had to dig in and put in a shift today but we managed to get the win and a clean sheet too. “We have to keep focusing on ourselves and push on without looking at what anyone else is doing.”
