No, it's not the Juve line-up for Saturday's game against Cagliari – though it would no doubt be pleasing on the eye going forward. Those are the players who took part in the 'Here To Create' event organised by adidas in Milan on Tuesday afternoon to celebrate the first anniversary of their biggest store in Italy, situated in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II.
Andrea and Michele of Radio DeeJay kicked things off in the early afternoon as they provided entertainment for around 4000 fans and curious onlookers awaiting the arrival of the Juventus stars at 16:30.
Once inside the store, the Bianconeri began by putting their autographs on 12 home shirts, which will go to the lucky winners of a competition run by adidas.
Afterwards, Massimiliano Allegri, Miralem Pjanic and Rodrigo Bentancur went to give interviews to the media while the others took part in something a bit different.
Together with adidas staff, Tango Squad influencers and students from the IED Design and Fashion School of Milan, the players set about personalising their own Juventus away shirt – not with a number but by coming up with a distinctive symbol for each of them. Paolo Dybala, for example, replaced his number 10 with the Dybala Mask.
It was no simple task but all for a good cause as the nine unconventional away jerseys created – and later signed – will go on sale via a CharityStars auction, with the proceeds going to Save the Children
After completing their indoor activities the Bianconeri moved outside, where they were called onto the stage one by one to receive applause from the crowd, before the day was capped off with a group selfie.
