He was the right man in the right place at the right time. Gonzalo Higuain on the end of Paulo Dybala's free kick with two minutes of normal time left to play.
Gonzalo's late header at the Meazza had just earned three hard-fought points for Juve and he was of course in high spirits after the final whistle.
“It looked like it was over but it wasn't. Last week it looked like the game was going to end in a draw too.”
Having been trailing in the 86th minute, Milan Skriniar's own goal and El Pipita's strike meant the Bianconeri were suddenly ahead, but how did they snatch victory from the jaws of defeat?
“We fought together, all of us, and gave every last drop we had," Higuain continued.
“I try to do my bit for the team and always give my all. I don't get down if I don't score and it was the same tonight. I kept battling away – that's how you achieve great results."
Asked how much his goal was worth, Higuain replied: “It's certainly worth a small piece of the Scudetto but we have another three matches to play yet.”
