Miralem Pjanic could not hide his disappointment after Juve’s 1-1 draw with Genoa on Saturday evening but believes it’s a sensation that can fuel the team when they return to Champions League action in midweek.
“It’s always tough to play after the international break, because we don’t get much time to train together, but we shouldn’t be making excuses,” the midfielder said.
“We don’t need to psych ourselves up for matches. We were focused today but there are times when the ball just doesn’t want to go in.
“This draw shows that the league is still open and that it’s never easy to win. It’s a shame about the result but now we’ll turn our focus to the Champions League.”
